Our Trips Backcountry Snowshoeing in the Catskills

Image - Backcountry Snowshoeing in the Catskills

A snowy winter can only mean one thing—perfect conditions for snowshoeing! If you’ve never tried it before, this is your chance. We’ll go to the Catskills for a fun-filled day of backcountry snowshoeing through picture-perfect terrain and be rewarded with breath-taking views. It’s a great way to get exercise in the winter.

Snowshoeing has been around for 4,000 years and the advances are amazing. What started as a necessary means of transportation has now turned into an excuse to play around in the snow and has given us the ability to hike up mountains that would otherwise never be possible. Burning an average of 600 calories per hour, this day is sure to leave you happy and completely tuckered out.
