Our Trips Mohonk Scramble
You’ll scramble over huge boulders in the beautiful Mohonk Preserve to gain some of the most fantastic views in New York state. This seven mile hike in the Shawangunk Mountains will leave you feeling completely invigorated!
We’ll depart Manhattan at 8:00 am and drive to the trailhead. After a few miles of hiking with plenty of photo ops and water breaks, we’ll reach the crevice, an exciting scramble that takes you to the top of Mohonk Mountain. Here we’ll enjoy lunch with a view before continuing to hike back to the parking lot. Make sure you have plenty of room in your memory cards for this hike—the viewpoints are breath-taking!
Note: If you do not regularly exercise for sustained periods of time and don’t feel comfortable hiking for several miles on steep terrain, this trip may not be for you. This is among one of the most difficult trips that we run and we just want to make sure that everyone has the best experience. Please contact us if you have any questions!

Cost: $75
Included: transportation, licensed guides, park entrance fee
Bring: well broken-in hiking boots or sturdy sneakers, backpack, lunch and snacks, 3 liters of water (seriously!)
Departure: 8:00 am, 43rd St. between 8th and 9th Ave. Look for van or bus on north side of 43rd Street.
Return: around 7:00 pm, 43rd St. between 8th and 9th
