Our Trips Tandem Hang Gliding Adventure
Talk about exciting! Join us for an epic day as you soar 2,500 feet above the ground on a tandem hang glider. The morning will start with a safety briefing and instruction, and then you’ll climb into the glider with your instructor and enjoy the view as a powered ultralight tows you to altitude. Once you hit 2,500 feet, your expert instructor will release the tow line and you’ll have a gorgeous several minute flight, soaring amongst the clouds. Then it’s up to you: you can take control of the glider and make your own “rock and roll turns” (we didn’t make up the term) or you can have a serene flight down.
We’ll depart from Manhattan at 9 am and make our way over to the hang gliding center. The whole process takes a couple of hours, but we’ll be equipped with frisbees and soccer balls and you’ll get to play on the field while watching everyone land. And one of the best parts of gliding with a group is that you get to have your friends take pictures of you landing!
